AWB is aware of the importance of corporate responsibility. This responsibility is shown in our behavior towards our employees, the environment, our clients and our suppliers.
Most of our employees have been working at AWB for many years. AWB is continuously offering further trainings to its employees and fostering internal knowledge transfer, also between the companies of AWB Group. It is important for AWB to provide a safe and sustainable working environment. Therefore, AWB works actively on reducing health risks for its employees.
With a certified environmental management system based on DIN EN ISO 14001 AWB contributes to a sustainable future. For AWB continuously reducing environmental pollution and energy consumption are as important as optimizing its production in order to make efficient use of natural resources. Thus, AWB has a strong commitment to sustainability.
Strict orientation on our clients’ needs and wishes is most important to AWB. Our goal is to be a competent partner for all our clients’ problems and questions. This means taking important steps – like a geographic expansion – together with our clients.
With most suppliers AWB has been working together for many years. If necessary and possible AWB qualifies its suppliers. In addition to that AWB has a sustainable supplier management, which makes sure that our suppliers respect employee rights, reduce environmental pollution and fulfill sustainability rules.
AWB actively supports international guidelines for securing human rights (e.g. the UN Charta of Human Rights), employee rights, for the prevention of child and compulsory labor (e.g. ILO Principles, OECD Guidelines) as well as the improvement of economic and social standards (e.g. Global Compact).
AWB has implemented rules, which prevent discrimination and actively supports the implementation of international guidelines for the prevention of discrimination.
